Welcome to the community archive for Chelsfield. Here you can find a wealth of information about the history of the village and the surrounding area. This website is by and for people who live in Chelsfield and people with an interest in the history of the village and neighbouring areas. Chelsfield is in the south east of the London Borough of Bromley, close to the border with Sevenoaks. To get started you can look at the brief introduction to the history of Chelsfield, or just flick through the picture gallery, and maybe send in your own reminiscences. The website is small at the moment but growing all the time. It relies on material from people with local knowledge, so if you have a picture or an item you would like to put up on the website, please contact us. If you do want to send material, please make sure you follow the simple guidelines. This website is indebted to the work and collections of Philip Lane and Geoffrey Copus, who have been very generous in allowing use of their images and material. Images from the Philip Lane Collection are available from Philip - please contact him via our contact us page. We have some terms and conditions to ensure the site runs smoothly and in line with copyright law, and also to explain how we use cookies.
